SLE POD Outside
Do you have a story idea you’re convinced has great potential, yet unable to make it a complete story, possibly needing a team of wizards to help bring this concept to a well-deserved, highly-recommended, marketable final product. SLE POD might be a great path for you. Assuming we also see the potential, we become creative project partners and go down this path together. Along with our own existing catalog of story ideas, we transform great potential to realization around any story that can make the greatest impression, any genre, fiction or nonfiction, film, small screen, documentaries, other. Right brain energy layered on top of technical excellence. The result, a highly-marketable creation. Many great stories await to be told, then discovered. Maybe yours is one of them.
DETAILS/HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
1. Prospective Partner: You’re an outside creator, so you come to SLE with the goal of meaningful collaboration. We agree to the partnership, a POD of Brilliance arrangement.
a. Contract Details: Contract explains benefits to all parties (NOTE: If this is simply an idea that needs the complete POD participation and execution, we may take upwards of 50%, with guarantees that we have a certain amount of time to succeed; as time passes, there may be lower exit % since we’ve contributed up to a certain point.)
3. Brainstorming, improved content, screenwriting direction.
4. We will likely use outside coverage services, its cost shared by both parties at % reflecting the amount.
5. Timeline is established and agreed upon (to the best of our ability), deliverables for all parties.
6. Soundtrack layered in at the right time, may proactively ask for initial content as part of the marketing of the project.
7. “The Package” will ultimately be developed to include script, budget, above the line talent commitments with resumes, game plan, poster, storyboard panels, etc.
8. Under this mutually-rewarding contract, we work on project content, strategy, story concepts, copywriting, securing financing, getting an agent, attaching talent to the project, including music, director, producer(s), actors, anything that positions the project for success.
9. As you know, there are no guarantees in this business, we just do our best, in the best interest of all partners.
